Pastor Stands up for Gay Rights in America

A Pastor recently in America used a clever ‘ruse’ to get a point across about the churches attitude towards ‘social issues’ over the ages.

These arguments have been used to keep the vote from women, slaves, to stop racial integration, to fight to make homosexuality legal, to stop Same Sex Marriage and the list goes on.

One wonders if in 50 years from now you’ll hear a clever Pastor using quotes from religious people today fighting to keep marriage heterosexual, replacing then with their social battle, and again use exactly the same arguments.

    Hi Pat
I’ll miss listening to your great show – it is a challenge to receive Radio Rhema frequency here at Waitarere Beach near Levin but I’ve made it my mission to try to listen to all your shows. I have learnt so much about how what I think about difficult spiritual matters and values while listening to your interviews and sharings. You have so much to offer our country so I say “God will find just the right place for your future so that you can continue to help people like me grow in my faith”. I wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas season complete with God’s Blessings always. Colette

thanks so much Colette. I have to say it was very nice to be able to post this today without having to worry about ‘what will Rhema management say about it’ as I have had to curtail my personal opinion a lot in the last few months so as to not ‘offend people’ and ‘generate complaints’. I feel that you will still be hearing from me, but maybe more along the lines of this kind of communication and my own interviews uploaded here and on a new podcasting site I am looking at building next year to go along with my elephantTV site….I may have just ‘retired’ from radio…time will tell 😉 thanks again and merry Christmas!
